Aɲazo is the language of the Aɲazones people. Having a lengthy history Aɲazo has existed in one form or another for well over a thousand years. It has over this period of time undergone serious evolution, and lingual change. For years it shared serious similarities with languages Mongolian, or even Uighur. But after moving far to the west during the early bronze age it began to adopt, and assimilated features similar to early Persian languages. By the time the Aɲazones arrived in the Crimea they were speaking a form already filled with Helenic influences that would evolve Amazo-Persian into the modern day Aɲazo language.
Aɲazo has loanwords from several languages showing a long history of assimilation, and interaction with other peoples. Features in the language include influences from ancient Tocharian, Ket, and even Dacian or Thracian.
Modern Usage and Status
Aɲazo is a crypto-language to many in the world at large. A language spoken only among the Aɲazori community. In recent times several members of the leading Clans of the Nation (Genones ta Reishush) speak the language openly among family, and at official ceremonies. Most active documentation for the Genones is conducted in Aɲazo, and most children of Amazonian families are brought up as native speakers. Part of modern Amazon identify is based around the idea of Aɲazo with some families even being adopted into the Clans after agreeing to speak the language fluently, and converting to the Neisfashu (Aɲazo meaning ‘Our Faith’, name for the Amazon Religion).
The large diasporatic population of the Aɲazones people has rendered a varying level of cultural diffusion, and the exist of dialects. Many among the younger generations speak partial Aɲazo publicly, while older generations tend to prefer speaking it exclusively in Amazon held neighborhoods. Three major dialects exist in the world, the first being Modern Aɲazo which is spoken widely in America, and parts of Europe. Then there is the LongTalon dialect spoken by members of the LongTalon, and other eastern asian Clans. A final population of Aɲazones living in South America has started speaking a dialect with heavy Portuguese and native Indio influences.
